Why family mediation
Family mediation can help you resolve disputes arising from a family breakdown, separation, or divorce. By working together we can help you to reduce conflict, enabling you to make decisions and build agreements for you and your family’s future.
Our family mediation service is informal and confidential. We can help you make arrangements concerning your children or other family members, and enable you to take decisions about your finances and your home. You decide what you want to discuss and remain in control of decisions made and agreements reached.
What we do:
At Advance Family Mediation you will receive a personal service from your mediator from your first contact with us, helping you throughout the process.
Whether you have been referred to mediation by a solicitor, or by the court, or if you simply want to find out how mediation can help you, we are here to give you the information you need and to help you choose the course of action that is best for you.
We offer child inclusive mediation to help your children talk about what’s going on, if you feel this would be helpful, and we will talk to you about this when we meet.
We are accredited to sign your court form if you are considering making a court application for a family matter, confirming that you have attended a mediation information and assessment meeting (MIAM) with us.
We will work with you either on a fee paying basis, or if you are eligible for legal aid through a partnership arrangement we hold with the National Family Mediation Service. We are also registered with the MOJ Voucher Scheme and can make an application for a voucher on your behalf to cover the costs of up to £500 for family mediation about child arrangements.
We aim to provide a high quality professional responsive service and appreciate feedback from our clients. We hope you will be happy with our service and have child safeguarding and complaints procedure available on request.
